Ancillary diagnostics include: Ultrasound examination - soft tissue, tendon, ligament, lungs, heart, etc., as well as reproductive, Radiology, Videoendoscopy, and Thermography. We have a complete surgical facility for Soft tissue and Orthopaedic surgery including Videoarthroscopy. We are the Hunter Valley's largest equine assisted reproduction facility offering embryo transfer, chilled semen insemination, frozen semen insemination, stallion management for the purpose of live cover breeding, broodmare agistment, semen collection for chilled shipment, semen collection for freezing, storage and shipment. Semen collection can be for domestic or international protocol whether chilled or frozen.
We do an extensive range of referral work for lameness - The Hunter Valley Equine Podiatry and Lameness Centre is a subsidiary of the hospital and offers complete lameness examination, diagnosis and treatment as well as having an In-House Farrier facility for handling podiatry and lameness therapeutic farriery.
